What most ACIM students do not realize is that meditation actually occupies a central place in the Course, being a main focus of the Workbook.

In this retreat:

  • We will explore meditation and the premise for practicing it,
  • Take a deeper look at the Workbook Lessons of which quite a number of the exercises are similar to meditation techniques,
  • Work on building a successful meditation practice with the lessons.
  • Answer questions on practicing the Workbook Lessons and meditation.
  • Practice meditation throughout the retreat weekend
  • Experience walking a portable labyrinth
Rev. Deb Phelps has been teaching and studying ACIM since 1993, is a meditation practitioner since 1980 and is a Meditation Instructor.
The purpose of all of our Practical Miracles Retreat Weekends is to provide a place of rest, renewal and contemplative reflection.

2017 ACIM Fall Retreat – “Being Truly Helpful”

ACIM Retreat with Revs. Deb and Paul Phelps

September 29 – October 1, 2017

Bethel Horizons Retreat Center

Dodgeville, Wisconsin

This retreat will be focused on what it means to “be truly helpful” to our brothers in the world.
The title comes from this passage in Text, Chapter 2, V. The Function of the Miracle Worker. We like to call this the “Truly Helpful Prayer.”
This prayer is our theme throughout the weekend and each session will focus on a different sentence of the prayer.

The purpose of all of our Practical Miracles Retreat Weekends is to provide a place of rest, renewal and contemplative reflection.

Details soon.
