Lesson 216 – Review Lesson 196
Holy Spirit, I have a memory from when I was an adolescent of
believing that Father condemned me to a body, and abandoned
me to this place of hell where I would someday die. This was a
terrible and fearful thought for me to believe in. At the time, I did
not realize that everything I was experiencing was an illusion. I
did not realize on some level I had forgotten who I really was, and
somehow chosen to crucify myself by believing in this illusion of
separation from my Father.
You have shared with me in the Course that there is “secret
guilt” hidden behind this belief that I am not even aware of, and
because of this I am experiencing a darkened mind.
Holy Spirit, All of these fearful dark thoughts and beliefs I wish
to give to You now. I ask You for Your healing Light to come now
and illuminate my mind and heart with a flash to wash this pain
away from my mind forever.
Holy Spirit, On some level I have chosen to crucify my holy Self
in this way. I do not understand how this could have seemed to
happen but I do not want it anymore. And so I give all of this to
You in exchange for Your healing Light. I ask You to help me
accept Atonement for myself in exchange for this world I made.
Help me to forgive myself that the Light of Love may be restored
to my mind. I turn this over to You now and I wait in silence for
Your Light to come and wash me clean, showing me my
sinlessness and my innocence as my holy Self.
Thank You Holy Spirit and thank You Father for Your gifts to
me. I love You. Amen.
